Twelve Days: Update

Twelve days until I leave. Not much has changed. I am still excited and although I am closer to seeing him again, I am only getting more impatient! Such is the irony of life.... Many things have worked out wonderfully. I trusted God and he as been faithful. I should not be surprised.

My documents are finished, but not finished. We are in a bit of limbo, waiting to hear back from the registrar. Trusting that the information provided by the website is accurate, I am good to go.

We are both fairly certain we will have employment which is also another huge answer to prayer. I have an interview scheduled for the week after I arrive and a subsequent trial-run the next day, if the interview goes well. I am more excited and thankful than nervous, but I am sure that the closer it gets the more that fraction will change.

Ceremony location, pastor, reception location, food, invitations, and many details are all almost handled--and the majority of them accomplished by my sweet man. Frieder is doing a such a great job for a man who has been forced to plan his own wedding. He is so wonderful and I am blessed to have him. Because of all his hard work, I have had a relatively stress-free Summer.

Looking forward to getting together with my ladies next Friday--my last weekend in MA for a long while--for a little bridal, girly, Margarita evening. Wish some of my other friends around the US could make it, but it is just an excuse to do it again when I get back!

One thing on my list to do...tan! I need to get rid of my strap stripes soon. Today is probably the hottest day of the Summer, so I am not sure if I can venture outside. However, I think that I could tan them up in 10 minutes in this sun heat. We shall see!

Mostly, I have many small logistical things and errands and items to buy to check off my list. I also need to start packing. I am avoiding it until next week. Then I will make a list and just do it methodically so it is smooth and stress free...at least that is the plan. So much to do!
