Code.

This morning I got up earlier than normal with plans of getting some homework accomplished. I have since then finished a PowerPoint presentation. I have music playing in the background. It is not necessarily impeding my progress, but not necessarily encouraging it either. One song came on and there was so much peace in it. I stopped to just listen. It consists of a Piano melody, a soft, gentle voice, and some violin. Simple.

I know that you are for me
I know that you are for me
I know that you will never forsake me in my weakness
I know that you have come now,
Even if to write upon my heart
To remind me who you are
This resonated with my heart. So often I forget. But, like a quiet, slow motion code--everything rushing around you in a fight for survival, my heart began to return to life; to beat with those words: "I know that you are for me. I know that you are for me. I know that you are for me." This is something that I sometimes know, and often forget: God is for me. Acknowledging that brings peace. Admitting that is an act of faith. It is the allowance of trust. I cannot say that and not believe it. Today, I believe it. I believe it wholeheartedly.
